CONSULTATION BOOKING TERMS

(Applicable to consultations booked through www.lexpleaders.com)
- Purpose of These Terms
These Consultation Booking Terms (“Consultation Terms”) govern the booking, payment, scheduling, and conduct of online or virtual consultations requested through the website www.lexpleaders.com.
By requesting or booking a consultation, the user (“User”) agrees to be bound by these Consultation Terms, the Website Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Website Disclaimer.
- Nature of Consultation
- Any consultation provided by Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited is preliminary in nature and intended to:
- understand the general background of the matter; and
- determine whether formal professional engagement may be appropriate.
- A consultation does not constitute:
- a detailed legal opinion;
- ongoing legal representation; or
- confirmation of acceptance of the User’s matter.
- No lawyer–client relationship is created solely by booking or attending a consultation, unless expressly confirmed in writing by Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited.
- Booking Process
- Consultations are scheduled only upon the User’s request and subject to availability.
- The User must provide accurate and complete information at the time of booking.
- Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited reserves the right to:
- decline a consultation request;
- reschedule due to professional or administrative reasons; or
- cancel a consultation where a conflict of interest is identified.
- Consultation Fees
- Certain consultations may require advance payment of a consultation fee.
- The consultation fee is charged for:
- professional time allocation;
- availability reservation; and
- administrative scheduling.
- Payment of a consultation fee does not guarantee:
- acceptance of the User’s case;
- provision of legal services beyond the consultation; or
- any specific legal outcome.
- No-Show, Delay & Non-Attendance Policy
- If the User:
- fails to attend;
- joins late;
- does not respond; or
- is unavailable at the scheduled consultation time,
such non-attendance or delay shall be solely at the User’s own responsibility.
- In such cases:
- the consultation shall be deemed forfeited; and
- no refund, rescheduling, or carry-forward shall be obligatory on Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited.
- Technical issues on the User’s end (including internet or device failure) shall also be treated as a no-show.
- Rescheduling by the Firm
Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited may reschedule a consultation due to:
- unavoidable professional commitments;
- technical difficulties; or
- administrative reasons.
In such cases, the User will be offered:
- an alternative consultation slot; or
- another mutually convenient arrangement.
- Scope Limitation
- Advice, if any, provided during the consultation:
- is based solely on information shared by the User at that time;
- may be general and indicative in nature; and
- should not be treated as a substitute for detailed legal advice.
- Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited is not responsible for:
- incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the User;
- consequences arising from reliance on preliminary consultation discussions.
- Recording & Confidentiality
- Consultations shall not be recorded by the User without prior written consent.
- Any information shared during consultation is subject to applicable professional confidentiality obligations, subject to legal and ethical limitations.
- No Guarantee of Outcome
- No assurance, representation, or guarantee is given regarding:
- success of any matter;
- timelines;
- remedies; or
- judicial or administrative outcomes.
- Professional Discretion
Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited retains absolute professional discretion to:
- accept or decline representation after consultation;
- propose separate engagement terms; or
- recommend alternative remedies or counsel.
- Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- reliance on consultation discussions;
- User’s failure to act on independent legal advice; or
- non-attendance or delayed attendance by the User.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Consultation Booking Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, and courts having jurisdiction shall be courts in India only, as determined by Lex Pleaders India (OPC) Private Limited.
- Acceptance
By booking a consultation or making payment, the User confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Consultation Booking Terms.
